Graviera Naxos is the Aegean’s most celebrated PDO cheese — and the Pittaras family’s version from Melanes, Naxos, is one of its most authentic expressions.

Since 1970, the Pittaras family has produced graviera with a commitment that sets them apart: the milk comes exclusively from their own farm — cow’s milk blended with up to 20% sheep’s milk — from animals raised on Naxos and fed without genetically modified feed. From the animal to the cheese, every step is controlled by the same family.

The cheese is aged for a minimum of 3 months, developing its rich, buttery character with distinctive mildly sweet-tangy notes and a supple, pale interior. The PDO certification guarantees that every piece is an exclusively Naxian product, made as it has always been.

Perfect on a cheese board, grilled, grated over pasta, or simply paired with thyme honey. A cheese that carries the soul of Naxos in every bite.
